This position is responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and overhaul of electromechanical indicators such as Horizontal Situation Indicators, Flight Directors, gyros, tachometers, volt/ammeters, and quantity/temperature indicators. Daily tasks will include testing units with panel-mounted or stand-alone test fixtures, soldering and wiring repair, mechanical repair such as geartrains and bearings, calibration of units to prescribed specifications, and cleaning/painting repaired units.
Qualifications
- Experience in aviation, electromechanical repair or similar fields is preferred, but not required.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the aviation industry is a plus
